Description: Interdisciplinary examination of the history and culture of food production and consumption in the U.S. with an emphasis on how U.S. food ways relate to those of other countries. Examines topics such as: food and the formation of social bonds, food and identity, the cultural meaning of foodways, issues of justice and equality in food production and consumption, and how food cultures have developed over time and in relation to other societies.
