SMED 5113 Knowing and Learning in Mathematics and Science Prerequisites: Admission to MAT program or consent of instructor. Description: Expands the prospective teacher's understanding of current theories of learning and conceptual development. Students examine their own assumptions about learning and what it means to teach. They critically examine the needs of a diverse student population in the classroom. Meets with SMED 3013.
