Description: Common diagnostic techniques used in equine sports medicine will be systematically reviewed in a "hands-on" approach. This will include performing pre-purchase and lameness examinations, diagnostic nerve blocks, ultrasound, and radiology. At least three "field trips" will be utilized to increase exposure to different equine sports including race track, horse show, and endurance competitions. Graded on a pass-fail basis.
