VCS 7943 Applied Diagnostic Medicine & Laboratory Investigations Prerequisites: Fourth-year standing in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Description: This course offers hands-on experience in the diagnosis of diseases commonly seen at the OADDL. Instruction will include necropsy examinations, observation and participation in ancillary laboratory sections (e.g. bacteriology, histology, serology, Toxicology and virology), case simulations, and close interaction with OADDL faculty and staff. Case simulations will be utilized to encourage the development of problem lists, differential lists, and a plan of action for a wide variety of diseases in domestic and wildlife species. Credit hours: 3
